Priority is given to projects with non-French directors and co-produced by French companies with companies from countries having ratified the UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions, from Sub-Saharan Africa, from the UN's Least Developed Countries list, from the priority list established by the French Interministerial Committee on International Co-operation and Development and any co-production made under an intergovernmental co-production treaty.
About:The World Cinema Support ("Aide aux cinémas du monde") is a new fund dedicated to international co-productions. Jointly created by the Ministry for Culture and Communication and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, it is managed by the Centre National du Cinéma et de l'Image Animée (CNC) and the Institut français. This is a selective fund, and is granted as a subsidy either before or after completion of a project. It is granted to foreign feature-length film projects that are seeking support from French co-producers. The fund replaces the former 'Fonds Sud' and the 'Aide aux films en langue étrangère'.

Comments:Paper copies of applications should be sent to the Institut français for projects applying to the first selection committee (for first and second films)and to the CNC for projects applying to the second selection committee(experienced directors).
Fund goals: The aim of the fund is to encourage and develop co-production with countries whose cinematography makes a significant contribution to the promotion of cultural diversity, by its high artistic standard or by presenting French and foreign audiences with new experiences and ways of seeing.
